Royal Brunei Airlines, RB, will commence twice-weekly flights between Bandar Seri Begawan and Beijing, People's Republic of China starting from Monday, 28th of April. The flight will connect both capital cities via Daxing International Airport. At a reception to celebrate the service, Minister of Development said it marks not only the revival of a vital air link, but also a reaffirmation of the strong and enduring ties between both nations. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid also said the resumption of direct connectivity between Bandar Seri Begawan and Beijing is a timely and strategic development that supports R-B's efforts to strengthen its network and reinforce Brunei's position as a well-connected and reliable regional hub. The event took place at The Empire Brunei, 24th April afternoon.

Meanwhile, His Excellency Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, in his speech, among others, said that the recommencement of flight between the two capitals promotes cooperation and injects new momentum into bilateral relations. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism; Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications; And Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammad Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.
